The owner of Baum’s Sporting Goods, a Tucson-based athletic equipment provider, continued negotiations with his lender this week to get out from under the threat of foreclosure.
Despite having received notice that two of his properties had been scheduled for auction for delinquencies on four loans, owner Fred Baum said he’d be able to refinance the debt and stay open for years to come.
The auctions – which have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Jan. 19 at the Pima County Courthouse, 110 W. Congress St. – won’t be happening, he said.
