Wyndham Hotels and Resorts LLC has added to its brand the 241-room Westward Look Resort, which sits on 80 acres just north of Tucson in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains.

The property has been renamed the Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa.

The resort’s new owner, Westward Look Resort LLC, purchased the hotel at 245 E. Ina Road from APHM Westward Look LLC for $31.6 million on Feb. 2, documents filed in the Pima County Recorder’s Office show.

We own our own property and are in a good position to help her financially – we could give her £40,000 towards a deposit, could act as a guarantor, and could jointly purchase. We are anxious to help her but want to do so in a way which minimises risk for all of us. I am also wary of any tax implications. I am retiring in two months and will have a pension of about £24,000; my husband is still working and earns £22,000, and will retire in two years with a pension of about £12,000. What should we do? The alternative would be to become joint owners with your daughter and her boyfriend. However, this would mean being named on the mortgage deed and being potentially liable for capital gains tax on your share of the property if sold. The a

CBRE sees more strength in Florida industrial leasing

Through the end of the third quarter 2011, the top 75 industrial lease transactions and user sales total 8.8 msf in Florida. This is an increase of 44.1% from the end of second quarter when the top 75 transactions totaled 2.6 msf. A number of large transactions closed during the third quarter, mostly from tenants in the manufacturing sector, aiding in the total volume increase.

In spite of volatility in the financial markets and uncertainty on the U.S. economic recovery during the third quarter, almost half of the top 75 transactions to date were signed during the third quarter.

Q: I am an avid reader of your column and appreciate all the answers you give. I have two questions that are not addressed in my community’s rules and regulations.

First, if three members of a five-member board, or two of a three-member board, get together over coffee and discuss homeowner association matters, is it considered a “meeting?” If, yes, would all HOA members have to be informed and invited? In other words, is that an illegal meeting?

Second, if parking violations are covered in our rules and regulations, can they be amended by the board, or does it require a vote of the association members?

A: Changes to rules and regulations do not require the vote of the membership.

National Insurance Crime Bureau completed a long-term renewal on a full floor lease totaling 31,572 square feet.
